Hi! I’m Ruslan. My passion for biology ignited suddenly when I was 12 years old. I read every biology book available in both my school and local libraries. I constantly brought home various creatures, from dragonfly larvae found in a country ditch to tortoises and parrots. I watched birds in the forest and tracked wild animals. Naturally, I participated in various biology clubs, worked at zoo, and attended university courses for school students. By the time I graduated from school, I had also developed a serious interest in chemistry. My deep curiosity about how the world works shaped my life’s path. I graduated from two of St. Petersburg's leading universities: the Faculty of Biology at St. Petersburg State University and the Faculty of Chemical Technology at St. Petersburg State Chemical and Pharmaceutical Academy, earning master's degrees in both biology and chemistry. I then defended a PhD in biology and worked at the intersection of biology, chemistry, and medicine, focusing on drug development, immunology, and viral disease treatment. Later, I earned an Executive MBA from HEC Paris. In recent years, I have been teaching Science, Biology, and Chemistry to students worldwide, helping them gain a deep understanding of these subjects. My teaching career began when I developed an in-class chemistry program for gifted high school students. It was a time of real lab research and scientific creativity. The Covid-19 pandemic presented a new challenge, prompting me to transition to online teaching. Initially, I taught Russian students, then students from the UK, and eventually from all over the English-speaking world. The reach has been vast, from Tokyo and Seoul to Miami. My teaching experience continues to grow and evolve each year. Along with traditional programs such as (i)GCSE (Science) and A-levels (Biology & Chemistry), I am well-versed in American SAT/AP and international IB MYP/DP programs. Of course, I also know the strategies and tactics for successfully passing exams and gaining admission to the best universities. My students not only achieve top grades in science, biology, and chemistry but also acquire a deep understanding of related disciplines. Many of them become so inspired by our lessons that they decide to pursue a career in science.
